Research use policy

Purpose

Ventra Labs supplies synthetic peptides as chemical reagents for laboratory research. This policy sets out the conditions on which they are supplied and what the purchaser agrees to.

Label statement

Every unit carries the statement: For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.

Who may order

Reagents are supplied to purchasers aged 18 or over who acquire them for laboratory research. This includes independent researchers as well as universities, research institutes, companies with a documented research function, accredited laboratories and government agencies. Age and research use are confirmed on entry to the site and re-affirmed on every order.

Some compounds are supplied only where the purchaser holds a licence, authority or permit for them. Where that applies it is stated on the data sheet, and a copy is requested before the order is accepted.

Permitted use

• Reagents are used only in laboratory research conducted by or for the purchaser.
• Reagents are not administered to humans.
• Any use in animals is conducted under an approved ethics protocol, whose reference is recorded on the order.
• Reagents are not resold, transferred or supplied to any other person or organisation.
• Reagents are delivered to the address on the order and stored there or at another address of the purchaser.

Purchaser responsibilities

• Keep the contact and delivery details on the order current.
• Keep records of receipt, storage and use of reagents and provide them on reasonable request.
• Hold and maintain any licence, authority or permit needed for the compounds ordered, and provide a copy when asked.

Reporting

The purchaser reports any loss, theft, diversion or suspected misuse of reagents to support@ventralabs.health as soon as it becomes aware of it.

Refusal of supply

An order is refused, and further supply may be refused, if information given proves inaccurate or if this policy is not met. Serious or repeated breaches end supply altogether. Records are retained for the period stated in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptance

This policy is accepted by the purchaser on entry to the site and re-affirmed on every order. Each acceptance is recorded with the time, the network address and the version accepted.
